A Night To Remember: Time To Bond Dinner

Tabi basa & greetings everyone. Last night was another great night for me, where I get the chance to be the emcee for James Bond dinner. And yes, I get the chance to sing one song on stage too, an opportunity that I wouldn’t want to miss. These two combined seems like a calling, for me.

Supported by my team of handsome & beautiful Agents, as usual, any mission at hand starts with a briefing – who does what and when.

I managed to capture few moments using my camera, before things get busier. Then, as the time draws near for us to start the event, I focus more on my emcee’s task and set aside my photography personae.

Just like any other dinner, a safety briefing is a must. Guests attending should know what do during any emergency. Smoking area is also important to be made known because in an event where kids are present, we do not want to expose them to smoking hazard.

After formal opening & segment, dinner commences. Whilst guests are enjoying their dinner, I took the opportunity to sing a song called My Way. No matter how many times I sing thing song, it never bores me. From the stage, I can see some familiar faces enjoying it too, including Dato J and few others.

As usual, there will be some lucky draws and games. Agent Jack & Wil helped during the marksmanship contest (game) between the junior candidates. It was a tough job, but we managed to overcome it. 6 target, 6 bullets. Who won? Draw between Team 2, 3 & 5. But everyone gets the prize.

One of the most memorable part of the evening for me is when kids are invited to go to the stage and dance along to the song, Let It Go (Frozen), APT and all-time-favourite, Baby Shark. Familar faces like Kim, Osbert danced too, as well as few other kids that is so energetic.

Then, to appreciate the effort of those who came in dressed well in accordance to the theme, the Best Dressed Section comes in. It was not easy to choose the winner, but with the help of the crowd, we managed to choose. The dispute was then resolved using pistol duel, High Noon style. The winners: Ben, Grace, Belle & Robin are all in style indeed.

The family categories also available, where friends such as Thong, Daud, kanid David, Joseph Lihan & Harry gets their family 007-fashion for the event. But the crowd pics their winner, where Thong’s fam was chosen.

Closing to the end of the event, kids flocked to the stage. I get their help to make a countdown for the Grand Prize, since they are so full of energy as any kids should. Bro Denis & Tim both get the grand prizes – congratulations!!!!

With that, it marks the end of my emcee duty for the night. Indeed it was a night to be remembered. Thank you to the Agents on duty for assisting, working behind the scene to get things done smoothly.
