Tabi basa & greetings everyone. In this post, I’d like to share about the recent event that I’ve attended, which is Esther “Kuntang” birthday celebrationn & Boyong’s Workshop Blessing.
The images are also processed in Black & White as part of my experimentation. Few weeks before this, I shot B&W film, using analogue Leica camera & Kodak Tri-X 400 film rolls.
For me, B&W is classical, timeless & helps us to focus on the true essence of the image, which is the subject itself.
As with other events, it is not complete without any blessings, hence the “pingulu simayang” (prayer leader) leads the session, followed by workshop blessing & finally birthday celebration.
After that, it was a time for happy hour. Since most of the event-goers are still not warmed-up yet, I took the lead by singing few songs, including Kampung Love, Bekikis Bulu Betis, Mr Sanuh & Keindahan Pantai.
Only after that, lots of people submitted their name to sing their best to entertain others. There were merry-making, rami-rami until 2am.
I always like event at kampung because I am able to catch-up with my childhood friends, it is good to see everyone doing fine in life. We’re not confined by any time limit.
That’s all for now. Stay safe & have a good week ahead.
