Tabi basa and greetings everyone. Today I’d like to write about giving your kids good memories, and I will link it to my recent visit to my village and spent some time with my active niece and nephew, Cici & Leled respectively.
Why do we give them good memories?
For a kid who is growing up, it is important for us to give them a memory, or memories because it will help them to make them a better person. I still remember a lot of good childhood memories and as I grew older, I can relate to it and it helps to make me a better person. I still fondly remember the days I went to the field with my late grandfather and how he tells me a thing or two about my Bidayuh life.
Even though he is no longer around now, but his memory still remains, and all of it are good memories. I can’t recall I ever saw my grandfather gets angry at us. He was such a cool dude, and I wish to become like him in the future.
Now, I am called an uncle. That’s because I also have my own nephew and niece of my own. They will only be a kid once, because after that, they will grow up and become an adult.
Because of that, I want to make a lot of memories with them.
These wonderful memories are going to shape their thinking and future. A good childhood will make them a happier person, perhaps performing better at school and becoming a good person. But a bad childhood will do the opposite.
One of the thing that I love previously was to buy these Nerf Super Soaker blasters.
I have a bunch of those but will only it on special occasions just like this one.
I also took the opportunity to capture their images using a simplified way, using my trusty SL and Noctilux.
It might be a simple series of images, but it is enough to capture the key fun element on that beautiful Sunday morning at Kpg Pichin, Serian. Enjoy!
Your Tukang Rantek,
Claudius (Del)
