Friday is here, and finally for most of people, it is the best time of the week. Weekend plans are coming. Some are heading back to their home town across the ocean. Some even plan to binge- watching their favourite series on Netflix. For Sarawak Asset folks, they are getting ready for another round of Hip Hop Night, part 2. For offshore operations, Friday is the same as Monday, it is business as usual.
Generally all of us know offshore from its busy life and it’s always 24 hours production. However, the often unseen part is that they also have their own time to do BBQ. For this edition, I took my time to capture the images at F23’s BBQ, which is a location at Sarawak water. The “Tuai Rumah” for the platform is OIM Jerry, one of the children of the wonderful Land of Hornbill.
This BBQ is part of the appreciation for the team who has been working tirelessly to ensure safe operation all year round, as well as part of the social event that the team have. It is also their opportunity to eat nice foods, while enjoying the sunset and sea breeze.
After the BBQ session, comes the karaoke session. It is usually the activity before crew change, since they have completed their working roster. The next day is the time for them to be spent with family.
