Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2023

Tabi basa, selamat sejahtera & greetings everyone. I’d like to take this opportunity to wish Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri / Happy Eid Ul-Fitr to my Muslim family members, friends, colleagues and those reading this.

For those who didn’t know, Hari Raya is a time of forgiveness within the Muslim community and a time for strengthening of bonds among relatives and friends, which is why it is common for us to hear “kosong, kosong” (zero, zero), meaning forgiveness and reconciliation when debts are written off and past wrongs wiped away.

However, due to work commitment (e.g. offshore, open seas, borders, assigned duties etc), some of us are not able to celebrate it with their loved ones.

Therefore, for those who is working during Hari Raya, thank you for your commitment & please work safely. Do take care of one another out in the field.

For those who is travelling back to their loved ones, travel safely & have a good rest. For the rest, have a good holiday, which is a long weekend. Do take time this to “ngabang” (visit in Sarawakian Malay) your friends & family member’s house, a time to strengthen your relation / “merapatkan tali silaturahim”.

That’s all for now. Once again, Happy Eid Ul-Fitr, Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir & Batin. Stay safe & take care!

p.s. Below are some of the images captured during our Batik Thursday with my fellow friends.
